“splendiferous” aand by Emily’s.
Nie net het almal se monde oop gehang met elke dis wat bedien
is nie maar elkeen het gesê dat die “plek”
self so spesiaal is en so verwelkomend en warm is met baie
CLASS!!.
Julle is PROFESSIONALS – en julle ken julle storie -
end of story.
Maar dis die menslike and persoonlike aspekte wat ek soveel
van julle waardeer.
Sterkte met die veranderings – O jirretjie tog!!
Ek sal julle aan die einde van die maand bel om te hoor of
julle nog met mekaar praat en wie ookal (ek bedoel bouers)
vermoor is.

Peter and Johan,
Now that the two "bokkies" have celebrated your
birthdays and we are firmly ensconced in our work back in
Germany, we would just like to take the opportunity to touch
sides again. We also want to say a very big THANK YOU to the
both of you and your team for such and splendid and delicious
meal. Rainer and my mom are still singing the praises of the
springbok carpaccio and wine combination. The wine that you
chose for this first course, Peter, must have been simply
stunning in its match with the carpaccio with a strawberry
note. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting with you , reflecting
and philosophizing about South African cuisine and Cape Town's
gastronomic developments. We hope you enjoyed it too, because
that means we will be certainly look you up again for more
of the same - beside popping in to sample more Emily's Cuisine.

Peter and Johan,
It is hard to beleive that Pat and Andrew's wedding took place
a month ago - it only seems a few days ago to us. We think
this is indicative of a good wedding, when the memories makes
the ti me disappear.
And it WAS a good wedding, thanks in a large measure to your
participation and efforts. There were so many things that
the two of you did to make it a very special occasion. We
would mention the very attractive flower arrangements, the
table settings, the fantastic wedding cake, the food (which
all the guests enjoyed immensely), but there were many more
aspects that you had a hand in. You did Pat and Andrew proud,
and we know they will remember that day for the rest of their
lives.
We want you to know that we appreciate all of this, so please
accpet our thanks for all of this.

Waar vind ek woorde om te beskryf hoe spesiaal die Chaîne
des Rôtisseurs ete gisteraand was. Emily's het ons betower.
Bruce het gepraat van 'n "explosive, explorative"
gastronomiese ervaring, van die beste wat hy ooit in Suid-Afrika
geniet het. Raak opgesom! Die speelsheid, die intelligente
en deurdagte samestelling van die geregte, wat wye draaie
geloop het - van anosterbos, deur die Karoo tot diep in Afrika.
Die wyn so sorgvuldig daarmee gepaar. En dan nog die klavierspel,
die kristalkandelare en warmte van julle gasvryheid. Alles
het saamgewerk tot 'n triomfantelike aand.
'n Baie spesiale dankie aan die res van Emily's se mense -
Andrew en die miniskule kombuisbrigade, asook die flink diensspan.

vir 'n uitstekende maaltyd - fees van geure!!
Die "medley"van smake was 'n verrassing en ons het
dit baie spesiaal ervaar, veral op die geleentheid ter viering
van my dogeter se gradeplegtigheid. Ons wens julle baie geluk
met julle toekenning wat julle in Junie in Parys gaan ontvang!!
WELVERDIENDE BELONING. Dit bly maar vir my en my familie 'n
inspirasie om hier by julle "'n gastronomiese opkikker"
